The Saving Place Store

The Saving Place Store is a furniture/thrift store that is owned and operated by Holiness Missions to America. It was originally sponsored by The Saving Station in Toledo, OH. We take donated furniture, appliance and house wares and sell them to the public from our retail location in down town Sapulpa, OK.
We also purchase furniture from many different outlets. We buy from auctions, estate sales, individuals and even large companies. We have even traveled to other states and taken large crews of HMA volunteers and cleaned out entire hotels when they were remodeling.
Our store is set up just like any other retail store to the public. Of course on the back end of the business is where things are very different. The store functions with multiple layers of volunteers. Some of the volunteers that only work on big projects may only work two or three weekends a year. Others may work a day a week. Some revolving volunteers work practically full time for months and then off again for months. Then there is Reverend Sloggett’s family, some of them work full time plus.

Since The Saving Place is fully owned and operated by HMA, which is a federal 501c3, all of the proceeds of the store go directly back into the ministry. After the inventory is paid for and decisions are made on how to grow the inventory and the bills are paid, then 100% of the profits are used to reach the least, the last and the lost.
